June 2013 Currency Exchange Rates

In June the monthly average value of the U.S. dollar depreciated against two of the three major currencies we track: by 3.7 percent relative to the yen and 1.6 percent against the euro. The greenback appreciated by 1.2 percent against Canada’s loonie. On a trade-weighted index basis, the dollar strengthened by 0.8 percent against a basket of 26 currencies.
