In
April the monthly average value of the U.S. dollar (USD) depreciated versus Canada’s
“loonie” (-1.6%), but appreciated against both the euro (0.5%) and yen (+1.5%).
On a trade-weighted index basis, the USD was unchanged versus a basket of 26
currencies.
