In
October the monthly average value of the U.S. dollar depreciated against two of
the three major currencies we track: 1.5% against Canada’s “loonie” and 0.1%
against the yen. The greenback was unchanged relative to the euro. On a
trade-weighted index basis, the dollar weakened by 0.9% against a basket of 26
currencies.
