In
March the monthly average value of the U.S. dollar (USD) appreciated versus Canada’s
“loonie” (+5.5%), but depreciated against the euro (-1.2%) and yen (-2.1%). On the
broad trade-weighted index basis (goods and services), the USD gained 3.9% against
a basket of 26 currencies.
