In
April the monthly average value of the U.S. dollar once again declined against the
three major currencies we track. The greenback depreciated by 3.1% against Canada’s
“loonie,” 1.9% against the euro, and 3.0% against the yen. On a trade-weighted
index basis, the dollar weakened by 1.6% against a basket of 26 currencies.
