March 2023 Currency Exchange Rates

In March, the monthly average value of the U.S. dollar (USD) appreciated against all currencies we track: Canada’s “loonie” (+1.7%) and Japanese yen (+0.5%) but depreciated against the euro (-0.1%). On the broad trade-weighted index basis (goods and services) the USD strengthened by 0.4% against a basket of 26 currencies.
